The Dota 2 scene is once again getting into full pre-Major swing. Between the multiple online qualifiers for the upcoming LANs and the minor online tournaments such as the Beyond the Summit online series (which we will be looking at in this article), the world of Dota 2 esports is gearing up for another fantastic season.
Today we’ll be previewing two matches in the BTS EU series: the first between Greek squad Ad Finem and the returning CIS team Fantastic Five, and the second between EU mainstay London Conspiracy and all-Polish squad Team Alternate (aka Alternate aTTaX).
Ad Finem (4/6 bet365) v Fantastic Five (6/5 Skybet)
This fixture features the new Fantastic Five roster, which is now the home of former Na’Vi and Empire player XBOCT. Along with fellow CIS players such as yol and Bzz, this team definitely has the veteran experience needed to take more than just a few maps off of tier 2 teams at this point. They’re going to need a few more games together under their belts in order to do that, though. Against Ad Finem, who have been playing with the same lineup for a long time now, it will be an uphill battle.
Not to mention that Ad Finem actually beat them 2-0 last week at the StarLadder qualifier, so the Greeks already have their number going into this match. We think the same thing will happen here unless Fantastic Five have really learned from their previous encounter. The odds here aren’t that far apart either, so it’s an easy call to make.

Ad Finem to win with bet365 at 4/6 (1.67)
London Conspiracy (1/1 bet365) v Team Alternate (4/5 Skybet)
Another easy call to make. Team Alternate may have the recent results to back them up in this match, but when you weigh the chances of London Conspiracy winning against what you have to pay when you bet on them, that price is too tempting to pass up. This match could very well go either way, but the economical choice lies with LC.
Knowing this, it’s also fair to call a 2-1 scoreline for this fixture. As always, bet365 has that on tap at a price of 11/4. Oddly enough, these are the exact same odds attached to the 2-0 LC victory prediction, which leads us to believe that the bookmakers don’t expect LC to win this match at all. We think this should be taken advantage of.
